Produced gas is piped via Sullom Voe in Shetland to the Magnus field where it is re-injected to pressurise the formation. At the time of her building at Harland and Wolff of Belfast she was the largest new building of her type.

Processed crude is transferred to a dedicated shuttle tanker, the 126,000 dwt Loch Rannoch, constructed at Daewoo's shipyard in South Korea. The 850,000 barrel-capacity tanker, operated by BP Shipping, maintains the transportation link with Sullom Voe on the basis of a four to five day cycle.
